Community Service Requirements
Every high school student must complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement activities as part of the requirement for an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. The school principal or designate must approve all proposed activities that students intend to participate in. Below is a sample list of available community involvement activities. | Activity: | Skiers Wanted : We provide the equipment and opportunity for a persons with a disability of all ages to learn and enjoy downhill skiing. Our program will rin for 8 Saturdays and Sundays commencing January 6th and 7 at Eldelweiss Vally. We are currently seeking dependable volunteers to act as skier companions to disabled skiers. Volunteers must be able to ski and have their own equipment as well as transportation to Eldelweiss.You should be able at least 6 of the 8 weeks of the program. either Saturday or Sunday from 9 am til 3 pm |
